I came across this recipe from Fine Cooking and thought it sounded delicious. Plus, I was craving a lime marg and was out of tequila. I always feel less like an alcoholic when I buy booze for recipes.
Marie Sharp's hot sauce, El Jimador Tequila (delicious for the price), Chili Sauce, lime, orange.
I changed the recipe slightly, using fresh shrimp rather than cooking prawns and chili sauce instead of ketchup. The flavours were delicious together.
I chopped up another avocado and tomato the next day and, using the leftover shrimp (which had been marinating in the sauce all night), I put together a ceviche-like dish.
Perfect with some tortilla chips and a football game!
