I first tried a variation of a French 75 at Tableau and it was the perfect pre-dinner cocktail for a Girls' Night. Anything that includes bubbles is!
I am a fan of gin, so this drink really does it for me:
- 1 ounce gin
- 1/2 ounce of simple syrup (there's always a jar of the homemade stuff in my fridge)
- 1/2 fresh squeezed lemon
- champy, sparkling, brut....anything that bubbles!
Add the first three ingredients to a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously (to me, this means 10 seconds) and strain into a champagne flute. Fill the rest of the glass with the bubbly and enjoy!
