11 Things about Myself

1. My hair is naturally curly, but I blow-dry it and curl it with a clipless to get the look I want.

2. I get sad if I think of living anywhere but downtown.

3. Once, when I was babysitting, my friend showed up with what I thought was the people who I was babysitting for's dog. It was acting strange, so I put it in the garage. Turns out, it wasn't their dog and it ate half a bag of dog food.

4. I spent SEVEN years living in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, where I started this blog (hence, the url).

5. I lied, TWO of those SEVEN years were spent in Calgary, Alberta, where I attended library school.

6. I have an irrational fear of dinosaurs.

7. Two years ago, I decided to be more positive. I've had little to complain about since.

8. I often flirt with older men. I don't even know I'm doing it -- I can't help myself!

9. I love staying in, cooking a delicious meal and watching Hockey Night in Canada.

10. I want to travel more than I want children....soooo, there's that.

11. I have a difficult time "shutting off". I check email (personal, work) all the time -- even on vacation!

1.  If you could be anything, what would it be? I would love to write full-time. I could pound out Harlequins Chinese factory-style.

2.  If you could live anywhere, where would it be? We've often discussed moving to London if the opportunity arose.

3.  Where were you born? I was born in Langley, British Columbia, Canada (about 40 minutes from downtown Vancouver)

4.  What is one of your hobbies? I love to workout. It took me years, but I've found a trainer who kicks my ass and makes me feel wonderful once it's all over.

5.  What is your favorite Season? Fall. I love the crisp feeling in the air, the spiced candles, the anticipation of the Christmas season....

5.  Why do you blog? I started this blog when I lived in Saskatchewan to keep family and friends updated about our lives. Now I use blogging as an outlet, to write and (hopefully) to entertain readers.

6. Where is your favorite place that you've ever been? This is tough! I absolutely loved walking through the Bairro Alto district when I was in Lisbon. At night, when everyone sat along the curbs, drinking beer, talking to friends, moving their legs for the taxis who were slowly creeping through the narrow, hilly streets is when I fell in love with the area. 

7.  What is one major goal you have for yourself this year? To find a bar stool and get inspired.

8.  Is there 1 thing you wish you would have done as a kid that you didn't? I wish I had taken dance classes. I love to dance and I think the one thing missing from my life is a stint as a Fly Girl.

9.  What is your favorite month of the year? December -- I love Christmas!

10.  What is the most important thing you hope to accomplish in your lifetime? I want to finish writing one of those Harlequins....

11.  In one word about yourself, what word best describes who you are? I will steal from a dear friend of mine who gave each of her bridesmaids a locket with a word that describes them on it. My word is "resolute".
